Women finish 11th, men tied for 18th, at NJCAA Track and Field nationals
Hobbs, N.M. - The Mesa women finished 11th with 19 points and the men finished tied for 18th place with 16 points as the NJCAA Division I Track and Field National Championships came to a close Saturday.
After her second place finish Friday in the heptathlon, Rees Young took fifth place in Saturday's javelin with a toss of 134-4.
Quin Johnson placed third in the 1500 meters with a 4:52.39 clocking and was tenth in the 1500 in 19:45.35.
For the men, Tristan Stellmach was 20th in the 5000 meters in 16:39.73.
