Women's Indoor Track & Field Earn NJCAA Academic Team of the Year

COLORADO CITY, Colo. – Led by the women's indoor track and field team, nine Mesa teams received
All-Academic honors from the NJCAA for the 2016-17 year.  

The women's indoor squad was named Team of the Year for posting the highest cumulative GPA of all teams in that spot, a 3.28.  

The nine T-Bird squads earning the honor are a school record. Seven were cited last year and a total of 36 have been recognized since the program began in 2011-12. In addition, Mesa had a school high 35 individual student-athletes receive All-Academic honors this year.  

To qualify for honorable mention a team must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better.

Women's outdoor track and field
