Foster Claims Three Individual Events in Placing First at Region I Multi-Event

MESA, AZ – Mesa's D'Angelo Foster and Xavier Johnson placed first and second at the Region I Multi-Event championships held Monday and Tuesday at John D. Riggs Stadium.  

Foster finished with a total of 6591 points in the decathlon, while Johnson totaled 6058.  

In capturing the title, Foster won three individual events, the shot put, 110 hurdles and pole vault, and placed second in the 100 and 400 meters.  

For the MCC women, Catherine Bryant placed third in the heptathlon with 4153 points.  

The complete Region I championships will be held at John D. Riggs Stadium on May 3 rd and 5 th .
