Three More Individuals Improving Towards Outdoor Nationals for Track and Field

MESA, AZ – Three individuals improved their NJCAA Outdoor National Championship qualifying performances and four others reached the standard for the first time this season as the Mesa track and field teams competed at the Puma Outdoor and Mesa combined events meets last weekend.  

Pole vaulter Treston Slater made a huge leap in his qualifying mark, going 16- ¾. In the women's pole vault Calla Reed qualified with an 11-5 ¾ jump.  

Allyson Girard lowered her mark in the 1500 meters to 4:47.72 and Adeline Montgomery posted a 
4:57.84 clocking to join the list.  

Josh Hamberlin improved his mark in the hammer to 174-4 ¾ and Clay Campbell added his name to the qualifiers with a toss of 165-6.  

David Fernandez also became eligible in the 10,000 with a time of 33:04.48.  

At the Mesa Combined, D'Angelo Foster posted a 6570 total in the decathlon.  

The MCC teams will travel to the ACCAC Conference meet Saturday in Coolidge, AZ.
