NJCAA Track and Field Championships Get Underway Today at MCC

  MESA, AZ - The long-awaited NJCAA National Track and Field Championships begin today at Mesa's John D. Riggs Stadium with events starting at 3:00 p.m.

  The Thunderbirds will have 34 athletes competing in a total of 37 events as they battle for a top spot in the final standings.

  Hundreds of athletes representing 48 different colleges will be on hand as the national championships return to MCC for the first time since 1972. This will also be the first time the meet will be held primarily at night.
