Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds softball team took two games from Gateway Tuesday afternoon, 5-2 (8), 11-2 (5).
Emerald Grijalva pitched eight innings in game one, allowing just three hits and one earned run. Sienna Erran had two hits and had the big two RBI triple in the eighth inning to left-center field to give Mesa thier lead.
In game two, Gaby Lopez pitched all five innings, allowing just two hits and didn't have any earned runs. Lindsey Paboucek went 4-4 with five RBI's while Erran went 3-4.
The T-Birds will play at Pima on Saturday afternoon, first pitch at noon.
