Mesa, AZ- It's every players dream to hit a walk off and win the game for their team. In her last game as a Mesa Thunderbird, Kayla Bradford did just that as she singled in two runs to put the cherry of top of a sweep of South Mountain Saturday afternoon at Mesa.
With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Mesa trailing 2-1, Bradford knocked in the go ahead runs with a single to center field. It was a fitting end to sophomore day at Mesa, as Bradford is one of 12 sophomores the program honored.
The T-Birds saw their season cut short but Mesa had nothing to hang their head about as they competted hard all season and paved the way for the future of the Mesa softball program.
