Yuma, AZ- The T-Birds split a double-header with Arizona Western down in Yuma this afternoon with Mesa taking the first game, 9-8 and the Matadors taking game two, 15-3 in five innings.
Mesa broke a six game losing skid by winning the first game. Six of the last eight games for the T-Birds have been against ACCAC DI schools. The T-Birds will now face six straight DII schools, all being on the road.
Mesa will be at Gateway on Tuesday for a double-header then at Chandler-Gilbert on Saturday.
