TUCSON, AZ - Pima used a big fourth inning in game one to score a 10-1 victory and then a strong third in game two that led to a 5-1 win as the Aztecs swept a doubleheader from Mesa Tuesday.

In the first game Pima (6-1, 4-0) broke open a 4-1 contest with a big, six-run fourth inning. Mesa's run came in the third when Kendra Whalen (So. Flagstaff, AZ/Coconino H.S.) doubled home Korynn Molina (Fr., Tempe, AZ/Marcos de Niza H.S.).

In game two it was a four-run third by the Aztecs that did the damage.

MCC had evened the contest, 1-1, in the second when Brittney Ramos (Fr., Yuma, AZ/Kofa H.S.) tripled and scored on a single by Amber Smith (Fr., Mesa, AZ/Mesa H.S.).

The T-Birds remain on the road Saturday facing Division I Central Arizona in Coolidge, AZ, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
