Rast named Mesa tennis coach

Mesa. AZ -- Feroz Rast, who was the head coach of the Paradise Valley Community College women's tennis team from 2013-19, has been hired as Mesa Community College head men's and women's tennis coach. In addition to coaching the PVCC women's tennis team for the past seven seasons, Rast also coached for the City of Phoenix from 2008-2013. During his time for the City of Phoenix he worked at Mountain View and Granada Park, where he taught both juniors and adults. Along with working for the City of Phoenix, he also coached high school boys for three years at Paradise Valley High School from 2011-2013. 

As the head coach of the women's team at Paradise Valley Community College, Rast helped the team qualify for its first ever national tournament in school history in 2017. He was named Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2019. Rast comes with a great track record on the court and in the classroom. During his tenure at PVCC his tennis teams twice finished with the highest team GPA for all sports at PVCC, 2014-2015 and 2016-2017. He has coached numerous Academic All-Americans and maintained a high graduation rate for his athletes.

Rast is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, where he earned both his Master's and his Bachelor's Degrees.
