Severo falls in No. 5 singles semi-final at NJCAA men's tennis nationals, team ninth
Plano, Texas – Lucas Severo, Mesa's lone remaining entrant in the NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship lost to No. 1 seed Drew Brown, of Tyler, 0-6, 0-6.
In consolation action, Jorge Sala has reached the final at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Marcel Miasato, of Barton. Severo will play Tomonthy Ou, of Pima, Friday at 8:00 a.m.
The T-Birds were in ninth place after the first three days of play with 21.5 points.
