Men's tennis sweeps ACCAC awards. Rendek Player of the Year, Borhani Coach of the Year
Mesa, AZ – The 11th-ranked Mesa men's tennis team made a clean sweep of the ACCAC post-season awards dominated the Region I accolades as the all-conference teams were announced Thursday.
Gergo Rendek, ranked 11th in the nation in singles, was named Player of the Year and first-year head coach Ali Borhani was tabbed as Coach of the Year for the T-Birds.
Mesa players took all-conference in all six singles and three doubles flights as well as seven of the nine in Region I.
MCC went unbeaten in conference play and won its fifth consecutive Region I championship this year.
The T-Birds will participate in the NJCAA Division I National Championship May 14-18 in Plano, Texas.
