Men's, women's tennis blank Paradise Valley in ACCAC openers

  Mesa, AZ – The men's and women's tennis teams both won their ACCAC openers with shutouts of Paradise Valley after falling earlier in the day to NCAA Division II Western New Mexico Thursday.

  The men swept all nine matches in straight sets over the Pumas but were able to take only one of the three doubles matches while splitting singles.

  The women also won all nine matches in straight sets over PVCC. Stephanie Alsman pulled out a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 win at No. 5 singles against Western New Mexico for Mesa's lone victory.

  Both teams will be back in action Tuesday at Pima at 1:30 p.m. in ACCAC play.
