Men's and Women's Tennis All-Americans Announced

MESA, AZ – Following their outstanding finishes at the NJCAA Division I National Championships All -American honors have flowed in for the Mesa men's and women's tennis teams.  

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association honored Sacha Modica (Fr., London, England) as one of its ten singles All-Americans, while the NJCAA named David Felix (Fr., Saarbruecken, Germany) as a second team All-American for his runner-up finish at No. 3 singles at the national championship.  

The T-Birds finished fifth as a team at the national event.  

Meanwhile, the Mesa women had three players honored after their third place finish at the national championship.  

Maria Garduno (Fr., San Luis Potosi, Mexico) was named second team for her runner-up finish at No. 6 singles at nationals.  

In addition, Emily Chang (Fr., Sai Paulo, Brazil) and Khanh Huynh (Fr., Vietnam), MCC's No. 1 doubles team, were cited by the ITA as doubles All-Americans.
