Another shutout for fifth-ranked men's tennis, 9-0 over #22 Glendale

  MESA, AZ - For the third time in three ACCAC matches, the No. 5-ranked Mesa men's tennis team shutout its opponent, this time a 9-0 win over 22nd-ranked Glendale Thursday.

  The majority of MCC's matches this spring have been either against higher-division foes, or California schools, which is exactly where the T-Birds are headed Friday to take on College of the Desert in Indian Wells, Calif., at 2:00 p.m.

  No Mesa player surrendered more than two games against GCC, with Harry Busby (So., England) and Vitalli Kotelianets (Fr., Ukraine) winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 and No. 4 respectively.

  In addition, Andy Nguyen (So., Bien Hoa, Vietnam/Hamilton (AZ) H.S.) won at No. 5 6-0, 6-1 and Kevin McMahon (So., Tempe, AZ/Corona del Sol H.S.) took the No. 6 singles match, 6-1, 6-0.
