Men's tennis wins fourth straight, three by shutout, tops Pima, 9-0

  TUCSON, AZ - The unbeaten men's tennis team swept to its fourth win to start the season, blanking Pima, 9-0, Tuesday.

  The T-Birds dominated all nine matches, winning each in straight sets while losing few games.

  Nick Silvestri (Fr., Scottsdale, AZ/Notre Dame Prep) at No. 4, Andy Nguyen (So., Bien Hoa, Vietnam/Hamilton (AZ) H.S.) at No. 5 and Kevin McMahon (So., Tempe, AZ/Corona del Sol H.S.) at No. 6, all won while surrendering just one game.

  The No. 2 doubles team of Vitalli Kotelianets and McMahon scored an 8-0 victory.

  MCC goes into action again on Friday when its hosts New Mexico Military at 1:30 p.m.
