Mesa, AZ - Gateway was just too much for Mesa Saturday night as the T-Birds loss, 5-1.

The Gecko's began the scoring in the first half with a goal in the 32nd minute and Gateway took that 1-0 lead to halftime.  Mesa then tied the match up at one when Connor Glennen netted the T-Birds lone goal in the 54th minute. 

From there, the Gateway attack was able to net four more goals while Mesa, even though they had a few good scoring chances, just couldn't convert the same chances.

The T-Birds are now 3-7-1 on the season and also in conference play.  The T-Birds will have a week's rest and be back in action next Saturday night against the Scottsdale Artichokes at home.
