Yuma, AZ - In consecutive seasons, the Mesa Thunderbirds men's soccer team has lost in the first round of the ACCAC playoffs, this year to the Arizona Western Matadors, 5-0.
Mesa had good oppurtunities in the first half to puts some points on the board but just couldn't convert. The T-Birds had a header that was saved by the Matador keeper that had goal written all over it and a couple other chances that went for naught.
The T-Birds finished the season with an 8-11-2 overall record.
