Men's and Women's Soccer Go Head to Head Against Scottsdale
The Mesa men's and women's soccer teams face off against ACCAC opponent, the Scottsdale Artichokes, Tuesday night. The men will play first at 4:30 p.m. with the kicking off right after at 7 p.m.
Both the men's and women's teams won last Tuesday against Gateway.
The men won 6-3. The T-Birds had hat tricks from sophomore Benji Delgadillo and freshman Manual Lopez. Delgadillo scored the first three goals with Lopez scoring the last three.
The women's squad beat the Geckos 4-1 behind two goals from sophomore Jenny Montelongo. Emily Lynch and Destiny Cross scored the other two goals for Mesa.
The Artichoke men's team come into tonights match with a 0-0-1 record, their lone tie coming against the Gateway Geckos last Saturday. The women's team is 1-0, beating the Geckos in double-overtime, 2-1.
