  PEORIA, AZ - Glendlae, ranked No. 14 in the NJCAA Division I men's soccer poll, shut out the Mesa men's soccer team, 3-0, Thursday night at Pioneer Park.

  The Gauchos, 13-3-1, scored all of their goals in the second half, breaking the scoreless tie just 1:02 into the second period on a goal by Cory Zimmerman. GCC then added two more scores in the next 13 minutes.

  The T-Birds still hold a slin edged over Chandler-Gilbert in the race for one of the six Region I tournament playoff berths. Mesa is 9-8 and CGCC has an 8-8-1 record. The two teams meet Saturday at Chnadler-Gilbert in a 4:30 p.m. contest.
