Fessler 2nd, men's golf third after 36 holes of NJCAA DII National Preview
Joplin, Mo. - Freshman Trey Fessler stands alone in second place and the Mesa men's golf team is in third place after the first two rounds of the NJCAA DII National Preview at the Twin Hills G&CC.
Fessler has fired a steady 71-71—142 over the first 36 holes which were played Monday. That puts him two-under-par, one of only three players in the field of 52 to break the barrier. He trails only Ben Epperly, of Kirkwood, as play concludes Tuesday.
As a team, MCC shot a 308-309—617 to trail Kirkwood by 24 shots and Mississippi Gulf Coast by 11.
Dylan Middlemiss and Bosse Lennson are tied for 17th place at 156.
