Men's golf comes up just short of NJCAA nationals bid

  Gold Canyon, AZ – Mesa's bid for an NJCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship berth fell three shots short Sunday as the T-Birds slipped to third place at the regional championship.

  The T-Birds finished with a 289-294-304-299—1186, but Scottsdale came from three strokes down after 54 holes to capture the region's second NJCAA bid. The tournament was played at the Gold Canyon G.C. Sidewinder course.

   Logan Eatherton was MCC's top individual finisher, placing sixth with a 290 total after a final-round 77. Dylan Middlemiss was two shots further back in seventh place and Bosse Lennsen finished tenth at 295.
