Eatherton wins first career event for men's golf

  Sun City, AZ – Logan Eatherton won his first career collegiate tournament, firing an eight-under-par 68-68-136 at the Scottsdale Invitational played Monday and Tuesday at the Hillcrest G.C.

  The freshman from Gilbert, AZ, won by three shots over two South Mountain players, helping MCC to a second place team finish. The T-Birds shot a 295-285—580 to finished 14 shots behind SMCC.

  Bosse Lennsen tied for 14th place individually with a 76-71—147 and Tyler Coxworth tied for 16th place, carding a 76-72—148.

  Mesa will be back in action April 8-9 at the South Mountain Invitational. That tournament will be played at the Legacy G.C. in Phoenix.
