#6 men's golf trails by ten at Paradise Valley Invitational
Scottsdale, AZ – In the final regular-season tournament of the year the sixth-ranked men's golf team trailed South Mountain by ten shots after day one at the Paradise Valley Invitational.
The T-Birds shot a two-over-par 290 over the Gainey Ranch G.C., but the Coyotes were eight-under at 280. Pima was in third place after a 295 and Eastern Arizona fourth one shot further back.
Ryan Porter, with a two-under-par 70 paced MCC and was tied for third overall. That equaled his best round of the year. Jake Guess was in a fifth place tie with a one-under 71.
Austin Hardman was in a deadlock for 11th place following a 74 and Zane Smith rounded out Mesa's scoring with a 75 which tied him for 18th place.
The tournament ends Tuesday.
