Men's golf finishes fourth at Estrella Mountain
Litchfield Park, AZ – The second day didn't prove any better than the first for the men's golf team which finished fourth at the Estrella Mountain Invitational Wednesday. The tournament was held at the Wigwam G.C.
MCC shot a 304 to go along with Tuesday's round of 301 for a 605 total. That was ten shots behind winner Eastern Arizona. Chandler-Gilbert fired a 302-300—602 and South Mountain finished two shots ahead of the T-Birds with a 299-304—603.
Austin Hardman led Mesa, shooting a 73-78—151 to tie for eighth place individually. Jake Guess (76-76—152) and Zane Smith (75-77—152) both tied for tenth while Ryan Portner (77-79—156) and Brad Pottle (82-74—156) were tied for 27th place.
MCC returns to action March 5 at the Scottsdale Invitational which will be played at the Hillcrest G.C. in Sun City, AZ.
