Men's golf third after first day of Estrella Mountain Invitational
Litchfield Park, AZ – The men's golf team stood in third place Tuesday at the Estrella Mountain Invitational after the first round of play at the Wigwam G.C.
Mesa shot a 301 to trail Eastern Arizona by six shots and South Mountain by two. Chandler-Gilbert is one stroke behind MCC in the tightly-packed field.
Austin Hardman shot a 73 to tie for third place as MCC's leader. Zane Smith was tied for ninth at 75 while Jake Guess was in a deadlock for 15th place after recording a 76 and Ryan Porter was tied for 20th after carding a 77.
The tournament concludes Wednesday.
