Men's golf opens season with second place finish at Glendale Invitational
WICKENBURG, AZ – The Mesa men's golf team opened its 2018 season with a second place finish at the Glendale Invitational played at the Los Caballeros G.C. Monday and Tuesday.
The T-Birds shot a 311-316—627 to trail South Mountain which won with a 314-298—612. Eastern Arizona was third in the 307-326-633 in the nine-team field and Pima was fourth at 319-321—640.
The T-Birds were led by Jake Guess who placed third with a 74-77—151 total. Austin Hardman tied for fifth place at 75-79—154 and Ryan Porter was eighth with a 76-79—155.
Mesa doesn't play again until Feb. 21 and 22 when it will enter the Estrella Mountain Invitational at the Wigwam G.C. Heritage Course.
