Men's golf places seventh at tough High Counry Shootout
RUIDOSO, N.M. – The Mesa men's golf team took seventh place in the 11-team field at the High Country Shootout Saturday through Monday.
MCC shot a 21-over-par 885 against a field of primarily NJCAA Division I opponents. Midland won with an amazing 31-under 833 at the Links at Sierra Blanca G.C.
Brad Pottle and Gage Grimes paced the T-Birds, tying for 24th place in the 67-player event with 221 totals. Ryan Porter tied for 29th at 222 and Austin Hardman was 35th with a 223.
MCC will next play in the NJCAA Men's Division II Preview in Foley, Ala., Oct. 29-31.
