South Mlountain edges men's golf in season opener
Phoenix, AZ – South Mountain edged the defending national champion Mesa men's golf team by one stroke as the T-Birds opened their fall 2017 season Sept. 7.
MCC's Gage Grimes and Austin Hardman took first and third places respectively as Mesa shot a 288 total at the Legacy G.C.
Grimes carded a two-under-par 69, while Hardman was even-par at 71.
Brad Pottle and Zane Smith tied for eighth place with 74s while Jake Guess and Ryan Porter each carded a 76 to tie for 12th place.
