Brad Pottles' -3 on the Back Nine Push's Mesa to 2nd Place; Down 2 Heading Into Final Day

Mesa, AZ - With another solid day at Longbow Golf Course, the Mesa Thunderbirds men's golf team is ever closer to the ultimate prize of winning the big one.  They are down just two shots to Mississippi Gulf Coast College (864 total) heading into the final day of the NJCAA Tournament.

Just like he did on the opening day of the tournament, Jeff Kelley carded a 70 to go along with Bradley Pottle's 70.  Pottle had a terrific final five holes, shooting birdie, par, birdie, birdie, eagle to finish off the round.  For Kelley, he made five birdies on the day.

Kelley is currently in 4th place on the individually leader board with a 214 total, while Jacob Guess sits alone in 7th place with a 217 total.

Dean Harpe and Brad Pottle are tied in the 10th spot with three other competitors with a 219 total with Gage Grimes tied for the 23rd spot with a 223 total.

Mesa has shot 287 on both the first and third days of the tournament with a 292 on day two.  They hold to a five shot advantage over the third team, Murray State College.

The final round of the NJCAA Tournament will be tomorrow with an award ceremony following the last group to finish the day.  Click on the link below to see the complete list of ranking after day three.
