Men's golf rallies to take second at Pima Invitational

  Tucson, AZ – The Mesa men's golf team rallied on day two of the Pima Invitational Monday to take second place.

  MCC finished with a 284-282—566, six shots behind South Mountain which won with a 278-282—560. The T-Birds had been in fourth place after the first round at the Fred Enke G.C. Chandler-Gilbert and Pima tied for third two shots behind MCC.

  Gage Grimes led the T-Birds tied for third with a 71-69—140. Brad Pottle and Jeff Kelley tied for 11^th. Pottle shot a 72-71—143 and Kelley 68-75—143. Jake Guess tied for 16^th place, carding a 74-70—144.

  Mesa will compete in the Paradise Valley Invitational at the Gainey Ranch G.C. next Monday and Tuesday.
