Men's golf takes third at Scottsdale Invitational

  SUN CITY, AZ - The Mesa me's golf team took third place at the Scottsdale Invitational Tuesday at the Hillcrest G.C.

  MCC, which had started the final day in fourth place, finished with a 290-295--585 total. South Mountain won at 279-277--556 with Eastern Arizona third at 279-294--573.

  The T-Birds' Jake Guess and Dayton Federley wound up tied for ninth place individually. Both carded 73-72--145 totals.

  Austin Hardman was one shot back at 74-72--146 and Jeff Kelley finished tied for 24th with a 72-77--149.

  Mesa will next play in the Estrella Mountain Invitational March 7-8 at the Wigwam G.C. Heritage Course in Litchfield Park, AZ.
