Men's Golf "B" Team Second after Longbow Preview First Round

MESA, AZ - The Mesa 'B' squad shot (298) and is in second place after round 1 of the Longbow Preview played at the Longbow G.C. Friday. .    Mesa 'A' is in third after (299).  Eastern AZ College is the round 1 leader shooting (297).  Glendale CC is in 4th (315).  Sophomore Jake Gerard is the low T-Bird and tied for 2nd after a round of 73.    "Due to this being our first event of the season, we got off to a slow start with both squads being a little jittery." said head coach John Guerrero.  "Once the nerves settled, we played better on the back but couldn't recover from the shaky start.  We'll play better round 2!"    Round 2 begins with a 1:00 shotgun start.
