Men's Golf Finish Sixth at Scottsdale Invitational

SUN CITY WEST, AZ – A stronger second round helped lift the Mesa men's golf team to a sixth place 
finish at the Scottsdale Invitational played Monday and Tuesday at the Hillcrest G.C.  

MCC was eighth after the first 18 holes after carding a 303. But the T-Birds improved to 288 Tuesday to finish at 591. South Mountain won the event with a 557 and Pima was second at 571.  

Alex Trevino was Mesa's top finisher with a 75-69—144 for 17th place. T.J. Katherineberg was right behind at 75-71—146 to tie for 18th.  

MCC will wait until April 28th for the Region I championship which will be a 72-hole event played at the Gold Canyon G.C.
