Men's golf tied for top spot at Paradise Valley Invitational
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - The opening round of the Paradise Valley Invitational closed with Mesa and South Mountain tied for the lead with two-under-par 286s.
Those two were 13 shots clear of third place Pima which shot a 299. The tournament is being played at the Gainey Ranch G.C.
MCC had three players fire one-under 71s, all trailing SMCC's Connor Klein who opened with a 68.
Alex Trevino (Fr., Gilbert, AZ/Mesquite H.S.), T.J. Katherineberg (Fr., Mesa, AZ/Desert Ridge H.S.) and Brandon Carlson (So., Gilbert, AZ/Perry H.S.) were all in a group of six players who carded a 71.
The event, the final one of the regular season, finishes Tuesday.
