Men's golf places second at Estrella Mountain Invitational
LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ - Despite shooting a six-under-par 282 on the final day, the Mesa men's golf team was unable to catch South Mountain and placed second at the Estrella Mountain Invitational at the Wigwam G.C. Wednesday.
SMCC was eight-under for the day and finished at 282-280--568. MCC shot a 287-282--569.
T.J. Kathrineberg (Fr., Mesa, AZ/Desert Ridge H.S.) was the T-Birds' top finisher with a 71-69--140, tying for second place.
Austin Fletcher (So., Memphis, AZ/Mountain Pointe H.S.) tied for fifth at 69-73--142 and Bryce Melville (Fr., Morinville, Alberta/Sturgeon H.S.) was eighth at 72-71--143.
Mesa will play in the Paradise Valley Invitational April 13-14 at the Gainey Ranch G.C.
