Bio

Mesa College Basketball added Assistant Coach, Garriden Wolff, to the T-Birds Basketball team for the 2019-2020 season.

Before Garriden arrived at Mesa Community College, he was Assistant/Interim Head Coach at Cerro Coso College in Southern California. Coach Wolff debut as Head Coach on December 31, 2018 against the Mt. San Antonio College Mounties, winning decisively with the team shooting an impressive 9 for 9 behind the arc in the first half. Garriden also head coached the Coyotes to their first conference road win against Reedley College.

Previously to Cerro Coso, Garriden was the head basketball coach for Phoenix Fastbreak, an AAU traveling club team which he founded in 2016. He led Phoenix fastbreak in back to back appearances in the Arizona State AAU championships.

On arriving to Mesa Community College, Coach Wolff says, "I would like to thank Head Coach Sam Ballard for this opportunity. I'm grateful to be associated with this organization and the ability to mentor and contribute in a constructive, positive, and dedicated manner to assist the development of our youth. I am very excited about the potential for future success that we have with this staff and a great group of student athletes."

Prior to Phoenix Fastbreak, Garriden began his professional basketball career in Germany (2007) and played for several teams including: Hagen, Velbert, Bergheim and Solingen (2014). During his tenure, Wolff also held head basketball coach for Velbert and Bergheims developmental teams. While in Germany, Wolff started his private coaching business to assist athletes develop and achieve greater success both on and off court. Garriden continues to train, motivate, and educate athletes who continue to execute their pursuit in advancing their career.

Wolff played collegiate basketball in California where he accepted a scholarship at Bethany University (Santa Cruz). He was the team captain and starter for the Bruins.

Garriden, a native of Phoenix, was an All State high school basketball player and four year letter winner playing for two different high schools. First, playing at Camelback H.S. under Arizona hall of fame coach Sam Ballard and then transferring to powerhouse Chaparral H.S. located in Scottsdale where he was coached by NBA champion Paul Westphal.
Garriden was inducted into the Chaparral High School Hall of fame in 2008.

Garriden graduated Cum Lade with a B.S. in Sports Management from Arizona State University.
