Yuma, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds men's basketball team defeated ACCAC DI foe, the Arizona Western Matadors, Wednesday night, 65-54.
Four out of Mesa's starting five scored in double-figures, with Carter Coray and Sherman Dedrick, Jr. scoring 15 points while Donte Gonzalez and Dane Maggi each scored 12 points.
Mesa moves to 14-9 overall and 10-5 in conference play. The T-Birds will play at home this Saturday afternoon against Cochise College at 4 pm.
