Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds men's basketball team has won four of its last five games with a big win coming Wednesday night against Phoenix College, a 66-62 final.
Three's were raining from both teams all night as a total of 24 three-pointers were made between both sides. Rajhan Billingsley was Mesa's hot hand from outside the arc as he connected on 8-10 from three to help propel Mesa in the second half to victory.
The T-Birds trailed at halftime, 33-25, but the T-Birds connected on 9-14 three's to just 4-16 three's for PC in the second half and that made all the difference.
Billingsley finished with 24 points while Carter Coray finished with 11 points, Dane Maggi and BJ Burries each finished with 10 points.
With the victory, Mesa moves to 14-8 overall and 10-3 in conference play. The T-Birds will play at home this Saturday afternoon vs Glendale at 4 pm.
