Mesa, AZ - In an intense battle Wednesday night, the Mesa Thunderbirds took home an 87-77 victory over Tohono O'odham at Theo Heap Gym.
Led by Cam Burist with 16 points, Mesa executed late in full court pressure to secure the 10 point win.
Also in double figures scoring was Dane Maggi with 13, Rahjan Billingsley with 11 and Carter Coray underneath with 10 points.
Mesa earns its first conference win of the season and move its overall mark to 3-2 on the season. The T-Birds will be back home on Saturday at 4 pm vs Central Arizona College.
