Chandler, AZ- It seems as though Mesa is preferring to play close, stressful games as they defeated the Chandler-Gilbert Coyotes 76-73, in a definite nail bitter.
Both teams just continued to exchange buckets all game. Mesa was lead by freshman Ed Hardt and Devin Sheehy.
No stats were provided after the game but Mesa at one point in the second half lead by as much as five but within a four minute period of time, Chandler-Gilbert had reversed the tide, taking a four point lead of their own. Then from four minutes on, both team continued to exchange leads and freethrows but it was the T-Birds who prevailed in the end.
Mesa will be back home on Wednesday when they host Eastern Arizona College at 7:30 p.m.
