Scottsdale, AZ- The Mesa men's basketball team continued their early season success with a road victory over the Scottsdale Artichokes Saturday afternoon, 90-79.
The T-Birds were led by Kyle Bingham and Obi Megwa in the first half. Bingham had nine points and four rebounds in the first half while Megwa had eight points and six rebounds.
Mesa however went into halftime down by two, 37-35. But the T-Birds jumped out to a quick second half lead that they didn't reliquish. The Mesa starting five all finished in double figures in points, led by Megwa who finished with 14. Bingham and Mitch Burnett finished with 13, while Jordan Pratt and Devin Sheehy had 12 points.
The T-Birds are now 3-1 overall, 2-0 in the ACCAC. They have another conference matchup next Wednesday night at Theo Heap Gym as the Matadors of Arizona Western come to town. Tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
