Men's basketball inks first recruit for 2015-16

  MESA, AZ - Fresh from its second straight trip to the NJCAA Division I Region I championship game, the Mesa men's baskeball team has announced the signing of its first recruit for 2015-16, Brandon Dixon of Liberty H.S. in Peoria, AZ.

  A 6-3 guard, Dixon helped lead his team to a 16-8 record as a senior playing for coach Mark Wood.

  Dixon joins a team that was 21-9 in 2014-15 and finished first in Division I of the ACCAC, three games ahead of its nearest competitor. The T-Birds have posted a 71-21 record during the past three years and head coach Sam Ballard has been named Coach of the Year twice in his seven seasons at MCC.
