MESA, AZ - The Mesa men's basketball program received an unexpected lift Thursday when it was notified that South Mountain was forfeiting its game last Saturday to MCC.
The Cougars used an inelligible player in the game which they won, 69-66.
The victory changes Mesa's record to 17-7 and 14-4 in ACCAC play. That gives the T-Birds a three-game lead over Cochise and Central Arizona in the Division I standings with four left to play.
Mesa hosts CAC Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
