Men's basketball's Tomlinson headed to Alaska-Fairbanks

  MESA, AZ - Kyle Tomlinson (So., Mesa, AZ/Dobson H.S.), one of the hardest-working members of the Region I champion Mesa men's basketball team, has signed to play at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks next season.

  Tomlinson averaged 5.9 points and 3.9 rebounds and was a key factor in the T-Birds' outstanding 26-5 season. 

  He scored a career-high 22 points against Tohono O'odham and averaged 8.0 points and 5.7 rebounds during MCC's regional and district tournament play.

  Alaska-Fairbanks is an NCAA Division II school that plays in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The Nanooks were 18-10 last year.
