Ex-T-Bird Randall named NFL Clutch Performer of the Week

MESA, AZ - Ever since Damarious Randall's days at Mesa in 2013, his football career has taken on a rocket-like path, columnating with his selection as the No. 1 draft pick of the Green Bay Packers.

He has added a new chapter by winning the starting left cornerback role with Green Bay and last week earning Clutch Performer of the Week honors in the NFL.

His break-up of a fourth down pass at the goal line with 15 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter helped preserve the Packers' win over San Diego, keeping Green Bay as one of the NFL's unbeaten teams.

Randall was nominated for the honor and was one of a group of five NFL stars included in a fan vote for the weekly honor.

Randall was a first team All-American for MCC in 2013 before moving on to Arizona State for the final two years of his great career.

He was listed as the backup at left corner in the preseason, but has since been elevated to a starter.
