Former T-Bird David Griffin signs with Edmonton Eskimos

  MESA, AZ - While a lot of excitement has surrounded the drafting of Damarious Randall by the Green Bay Packers in the NFL draft, another member of the 2012 Mesa football team has also signed a pro contract.

  David Griffin, an offensive lineman on that squad, has signed with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.

  Griffin, a 6-6, 315 pounder in his MCC playing days, transferred to the University of Hawaii after his T-Bird career was finished.

  The Eskimos were 12-6 last year, the second best record in the league, and reached the CFL playoffs.
