Former T-Bird Damarious Randall named PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Week

Arizona State release

MESA, AZ - A host of former Mesa football players are making their marks at big-time NCAA football programs, but possibly none more than Demarious Randall, who has been named PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Week this week.

Randall, a first team All-American at MCC in 2012, helped 14th-ranked Arizona State to a 26-10 win over Stanford by making seven solo tackles, forcing a fumble and recovering one as well, recording a sack and breaking up a pass.

He is the Sun Devils' leading tackler with 58 with 52 of them solo.

For Mesa he intercepted nine passes during his one season, leading the nation, and helped the young T-Birds earn a Valley of the Sun Bowl berth.
