Franklin named WSFL special teams Player of the Week

  MESA, AZ - Mesa punter and kicker Brian Franklin , pictured right,(So., Mesa, AZ/Dobson H.S.) has been named WSFL special teams Player of the Week for his efforts in the T-Birds' 31-21 loss at Eastern Arizona Saturday.

  Franklin averaged 42 yards per kick on four punts and also converted all three of his PAT attempts.

  He was an all-ACCAC kicker and punter last season.

  MCC returns home this Saturday to face New Mexico Military Academy on Homecoming at 7:00 p.m. at John D. Riggs Stadium.
