Mesa Announces 2014 Football Schedule
MESA, AZ - Coming off its best season in several years with an 8-3 record and second consecutive bowl appearance, the Mesa football team will try for another top WSFL finish against a 2014 schedule that was released Wednesday.
The T-Birds will open at home on Saturday, Aug. 23 against perennial WSFL power Snow, in a 7:00 p.m. contest at John D. Riggs Stadium.
A week later MCC will travel to Glendale for its first road contest.
After an eight-game regular-season schedule, which will conclude with a meeting between the conference's top two teams last year at Scottsdale on Oct. 18, the WSFL playoffs will begin a week later. The tournament will follow the same format as last season with an 8-9 play-in game on Oct. 25 followed by semi-finals on Nov. 1 and a championship contest Nov. 8.
